Design Token Auditor privacy
This section describes how Design Token Auditor handles data, last updated 23 October 2026. It supplements the site-wide privacy policy.
Where the extension runs
Entirely in your browser. Atesen Software receives nothing from it, and it makes no network requests.
When it runs
Only on the tab where you click the toolbar button or press Alt+Shift+D, and only while the panel is open. It has no access to any site otherwise.
What it reads
The computed styles of elements on that page, and the page's own CSS variables when you choose the page's set. The QA list and CSV contain element selectors and values, and are copied to the clipboard or downloaded only when you ask.
What it stores
- The token sets you import, and the set new sites start with, in the browser's local extension storage on this device.
- Which set each site uses, by the site's address, in the same storage.
What it sends
Nothing from the pages you check. It makes no network requests, has no analytics and loads no remote code. The Tailwind presets are files inside the extension.
A future paid version may add a licence check; this page will be updated before it ships.
Permissions it asks for
- Active tab and scripting: to add the panel to the tab you choose, when you choose.
- Storage: for token sets and the set each site uses.
